The place

A house full of charm, mixing stone and wood, in the heart of the village of Conques-sur-Orbiel, 15 minutes from Carcassonne. Renovated in 2018, it offers every comfort for a stay with family or friends, with a clean, natural style.

On the ground floor, a lovely entrance hall, handy for storing bikes, opens onto the large living room and its open kitchen: Smeg range cooker, microwave, Senseo coffee maker, kettle and everything you need. The lounge has a flat-screen TV, wifi, a hi-fi system, table football and a pool table.

Upstairs are the three bedrooms and the bathroom. The third bedroom has a mezzanine with a bed and a desk area. The air conditioning, fitted at the highest point of the mezzanine, cools the whole upper floor for peaceful nights.

Outside, the enclosed garden, with no one overlooking you, is all yours: a private 3 × 5 m pool, a pétanque court, sun loungers, a barbecue and a dining area on the terrace.

Good to know

Times: Check-in between 5 pm and 8 pm, check-out before 11 am.

Linen: Sheets and towels are not provided. They are available as an option at €15 per bed, with two towels, to be requested before arrival.

Pool: It is private and unheated. To keep the water spotless, we simply ask you to run the cleaning robot and add a chlorine tablet when we suggest it.

In summer: As in all old houses, the ground floor stays cool if you lower the blind on the bay window during the hottest hours. In the evening, close the windows: you keep the cool air in and the mosquitoes out.

Pets: Pets are not allowed, except guide and assistance dogs.

Neighbourhood: The house adjoins a former distillery, used only during the grape harvest. The rest of the year the place is completely quiet, and it means no other house overlooks you.

Peace and quiet: No parties or visitors during your stay.
